13th Advanced School on Computer Graphics for Cultural Heritage

Museums, public and cultural institutions are increasingly using computer applications to capture the attention of visitors and communicate cultural content. 
VisitLab Cineca (Visual Information Technology Laboratory) develops Digital Heritage projects, ranging from animations in computer graphics to evocative installation, from augmented reality apps to online and immersive interactive virtual environments. The aim of the school is to introduce the participants to the realization of these kind of solutions.

Target audience:

The 5 day course (09-13 October 2017) is aimed at graduates and introduces participants to 3D reconstruction, methodologies and technologies devoted to modeling, processing and integrating virtual reconstructions into real-time spatial systems or computer graphics (web, desktop, mobile).

Topics:

3D modeling of cultural scenarios according to an open graphic process based on Blender;
Cultural scenarios and transmedia approach with special attention to the 3D Web (via Blend4Web).

Selection Criteria:

Participation is free and is limited to 25 students. Online enrollment with the specific form.
Proposers will be selected on their experience and qualifications. A basic knowledge of computer graphics is required.
