Description:
Museums, public and cultural institutions are increasingly using computer applications to capture the attention of visitors and communicate cultural content.
VisitLab Cineca (Visual Information Technology Laboratory) develops Digital Heritage projects, ranging from animations in computer graphics to evocative installation, from augmented reality apps to online and immersive interactive virtual environments and the design of digital ecosystems for the management and processing of cultural data, also thanks to artificial intelligence systems. The aim of the school is to introduce the participants to the realization of these kind of solutions.
Skills:
At the end of the course, the student should achieve the following skills and know-how:
- 3D modelling and animation in Blender (basic level);
- Photogrammetric 3D modelling (basic level);
- Interactive 3D Web (basic level);
- Some competences on the integration of Digital Heritage and HPC services
Target audience:
The 5 day course is aimed at graduates / students and introduces participants to 3D reconstruction, methodologies and technologies devoted to modeling, processing and integrating virtual reconstructions into real-time spatial systems or computer graphics (web, desktop, mobile).
Selection Criteria:
Participation is free and is limited to 20 students.
Proposers will be selected on their experience and qualifications. A basic knowledge of computer graphics is required. In order to assess this aspect, candidates are required to upload a screenshot of their own name “written” with solids (free choice) inside Blender, as in the following example:
