EVENT: AI & HPC User Forums and HPC User Day

You are here

Cineca will host a three-day event dedicated to fostering discussion and collaboration within the HPC and AI communities: the HPC User Forum, the AI User Forum, and the HPC User Day. These events are designed to provide a space for sharing insights, exploring advancements, and addressing the evolving needs of users in high-performance computing and artificial intelligence.
As a leading supercomputing center in Europe, Cineca continues to support research and innovation through advanced computational resources. The Leonardo pre-exascale cluster, a key component of the European HPC ecosystem, and the AI Factory, an initiative aimed at advancing AI applications, exemplify our commitment to enabling scientific and technological progress.

March 10: AI User Forum
The first day will center on Artificial Intelligence. The AI User Forum will provide an opportunity for participants to showcase their research supported by the Leonardo supercomputer. Participants will also get to know current and future opportunities to get support on the usage of HPC systems for AI workloads. In the afternoon, experts will lead hands-on sessions on Leonardo, offering participants practical experience and guidance on utilizing the system effectively.

March 11: HPC User Forum
The second day will focus on the HPC community. The HPC User Forum will feature discussions on how Cineca’s HPC systems contribute to advancing research and highlight users’ perspectives on future requirements. This is an opportunity to reflect on how HPC infrastructure can continue to support diverse research challenges effectively.

March 12: HPC User Day – Focus on Leonardo
The third day will be dedicated to the Leonardo pre-exascale cluster, offering detailed guidance on accessing and using this advanced system. The program includes an overview of its architecture, software environment, and production setup, as well as practical sessions covering job submission, SLURM commands, and configuration details. Participants will also have the chance to visit the Leonardo machine room and see the system in operation.
These events represent a valuable opportunity to engage with peers, share experiences, and deepen understanding of the technologies shaping the HPC and AI landscapes.
